Meet our Tennis Professionals


Tom White,  a professional tennis instructor for seventeen years and is both ITF and PTR Certified. He is also a USRSA member. Prior to joining us at MAC, he was the head tennis pro at MTC. Tom is naturally drawn to people and this is exhibited by his ability to motivate an push his students, young and old alike to perform and try to reach levels they had not previous thought about achieving. His record of dependability and kindness can be attested to by those that he has had the opportunity to work with. Career highlights include training and coaching three players (Girls 16’s) who have reached top 5 in their respective categories, both in Mexico and Alaska as well as being part of a team that developed juniors that have played in Major events (U.S. Open, Orange Bowl, U.S. Open Juniors). Additionally, Tom has Play & Stay/ Quick Start experience, he is a Hitting Pro, and Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish). Most importantly, he is an excellent motivator and is ready to help you reach your full potential.


Lynn Bybee USPTA brings experience, expertise and excitement to the MAC tennis program. He has been teaching tennis for over 25 years; Lynn is also an accomplished player who has qualified twice for the Senior Tour—along with McEnroe, Connors and Borg. In his age group, Lynn has been ranked as high as fourth in the U.S. and has also won a national doubles title. Lynn looks forward to meeting everyone and continuing to build the tennis program at MAC.




Sonny Kierulf is a certified PTR tennis professional from Chicago, IL where he began his 26 year career in the tennis industry. He started as an instructor in a grass-roots, community tennis association in hopes to teach character to at-risk you through sports. He continued to gaining extensive  experience as a staff pro, head pro and director of tennis at park districts, country clubs as well as large tennis corporations. He also spent time as a head high school coach and as an assistant coach at a Division I university. Though, Sonny has taught a wide range of players, spanning in age from 3 to 83 years old at all levels, he particularly enjoys instructing both competitive club players and new players who are hungry to learn a sport for a lifetime.

Sonny is looking forward to being a part of the tennis community at MAC and seeks to create opportunities for players to improve their tactics, techniques and tennis specific strength. In order to accomplish this goal, Sonny will make himself available for private and group lessons. He will also offer cardio tennis classes, clinics for USTA teams and supervised play.
