Foam Roller Class with Midge
Want to live a healthy, pain free, active lifestyle?
In this 30-minute foam roller class you will learn various techniques that will help you:
- relieve joint pain such as shin splints, IT band syndrome & improve flexibility
- learn to release physical & mental stressors and trapped tension in your body
- enjoy some of the same benefits as a sports massage
Classes begin May 14th
Mondays at 9:00AM; Wednesdays at 11:30AM; Fridays 10:00AM
Cost $8/per class
Bring a water bottle and towel to class. Foam rollers are provided.

Bike MS

Saturday, June 2nd & Sunday, June 3rd
Sign up for MAC’s Bike MS team! Bike MS is a two day event on June 2nd and 3rd with 20, 50, 150, and 175 mile rides from Richmond to Williamsburg. Click hereto join the Midlothian Athletic Club team or donate! Our riders will receive a MAC Cycling Team shirt and have access to spin training sessions. Registration is $55.

Kick off the summer season with a fun competition for the kids!

2012 K95 Country Cares for St. Jude Kids
Come support the great
care and research taking place at St. Jude’s, and run for the kids who are fighting childhood illnesses.

During pregnancy, you want to stay in shape and do what is best for your baby-to-be. Prenatal yoga is a wonderful way to do both. Whether you are new to yoga or already an experienced practitioner, you can enjoy the benefits of yoga while pregnant. Yoga classes are a great way to prepare yourself for the birthing process as well as enjoy the company of other pregnant women.

Swim Clinics
The last swim clinics before the beginning of swim team practices start on May 1st through May 17th. Clinics are the best way to get that extra work before swim team starts up. Clinics are coached by Rob Britt. Clinics are offered for 8 and under, 9 and over.

Swim Lessons
Group Swim Lessons:
New group lessons start in May. Daytime, evenings and weekends are offered. Check the front desk or website for more information. Please contact Rob with any questions about swim lessons.
Private Swim Lessons:
Lessons are packaged as 6 half-hour lessons with an instructor and will be offered year round at a time to meet your busy schedule. Contact Rob with any questions.
Master Swim
A new session starts June 2nd – August 30th. Great for all swimmers over 18. Master swim is under the coaching of Coaches Gene and Erica.

USTA Wheelchair Tournament with Run and Roll Social
Friday, May 4th – Sunday, May 6th
Join us Friday, May 4th at 6:00PM and play in a unique tennis format, enjoy dinner, and bid on some amazing items!

2012 Club Challenge Doubles Tournament
This year we have a 2012 Club Challenge Committee- consisting of the Tennis Department and MAC members- Cathy Roberts, Roe DiGiovanni, Bill Stephens, and Cory Evans. Among this committee- we have decided to change the tryout process to make it more fun and efficient in a tournament format!
Tournament Dates
Monday, June 18th -Friday, June 22nd
For all Men’s and Women’s Doubles ratings 3.0- 4.5
If you have a work, family, or vacation conflict that prevents you from playing this week, there will be a Second Chance Tournament in July. The fee for the tournament is $20 per person.
If you play in the tournament and represent MAC in the Club Challenge at Westwood September 28th -30th you will have your $75 RTA Club Challenge fee discounted!
Mixed will be decided after Men’s and Women’s teams are decided! Sign-ups will be up soon- so get your partners set! Please make sure you are available for all 3 days of the Club Challenge before you sign up with a partner!
Singles Ladder
Beginning the first week in May, our Men’s and Women’s Singles Pyramid Ladder will be posted to the right on the wall by the door to the indoor courts. You schedule your own matches and get your own courts, so it is a great way to get Singles practice! It will be best 2 out of 3 sets- with a 10 pt tiebreak for a 3rd set- USTA format, and with the pyramid system- you may challenge on your row or one level above you!
