Summer Lifeguard

Department: Aquatics

Primary Responsibilities
1.  Identify potential accident hazards.
2. Be alert or prevent accidents (risk management).
3. Enforce all pool rules in a consistent manner.
4. Handle discipline situations with courtesy and fairness.
5. Respond quickly, intelligently, decisively and in accordance with established emergency and accident management procedures.
6. Administer first aid and CPR as required.
Secondary Responsibilities:
1. Communicate with other lifeguards and managers.
2. Facilitate public relations with a positive and professional attitude, courtesy and tact.
3. Be available to substitute for other staff members.
4. Follow established substitution procedures.
5. Fill out appropriate reports.
6. Monitor chemical levels
7. Carry out additional duties as assigned by managers.
Qualifications:  Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, minimum age 16.

Group and Private Swim Lessons Instructor

Responsibilities and Requirements
1.  Experience and training to teach individual and group swimming lessons.
2. Be alert or prevent accidents (risk management).
3. Enforce all pool rules in a consistent manner.
4. Handle discipline situations with courtesy and fairness.
5. Respond quickly, intelligently, decisively and in accordance with established emergency and accident management procedures.
6. Administer first aid and CPR as required. CPR/AED certification required.

Kids’ Club Staff

Department: Kids’ Club

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Promote safety and security of all children.
  2. Greet children and parents as they arrive and leave the Kids’ Club.
  3. Help parents and children during check in/out to ensure smooth transition into the Kids’ Club.
  4. Maintain a clean and safe Kids’ Club, which includes but is not limited to, storing toys and supplies in their appropriate areas, disinfecting surfaces at the end of each shift and as needed throughout the day, minimizing clutter, ensuring all children’s belongings and food/snacks are clearly labeled, and helping with cleaning tasks during shifts and at the end of the day.
  5. Engage all children that are in MAC’s care with stimulating activities and/or games.
  6. Know Kids’ Club and MAC policies and can effectively communicate them to MAC members/guests.
  7. Act in unforeseen and emergency situations.
  8. Arrive to work at least 5 minutes before start of shift.
  9. If not already certified, attend CPR, AED and First Aid training at MAC and maintain current CPR/AED certification for the duration of employment.
  10. Read, sign, and abide by the policies included in the Employee Handbook.
  11. Help with MAC programs, special events, or activities outside department.
  12. Exhibit a positive attitude at all times and upholds MAC’s values of teamwork, customer service, and engagement.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or GED preferred
  2. Previous babysitting and/or nanny experience preferred
  3. Able to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  4. Superior customer service skills
  5. Excellent communication skills
  6. Must have a genuine interest in working with and interacting with children
  7. Must be able to stand for the duration of shift
  8. Must be able to reach, pull, and push and use repetitive arm, hand, and leg motions
  9. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  10. Willing and able to respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies
  11. Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications a plus
  12. Must enjoy working in a team environment

Female and Male Housekeepers

Department: Maintenance

The MAC is currently hiring female and male housekeepers.  Candidates must be able to be on their feet for extended periods of time, must have the ability to perform cleaning duties, must have a schedule which offers flexible hours, and must be able  to work weekends and evenings as necessary.
